DANBURY, Iowa — Mary K. Shever, 92, of Battle Creek, Iowa, a former Danbury resident, died Friday,Jan. 19, 1996, at the Willow Dale Care Center in Battle Creek.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Anthon, Iowa, with the Rev. Kent Kastler officiating. Burial will be in the Correctionville (Iowa) Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service.

Mrs. Shever, the former Mary Burgess, was born Dec. 18,1903, in Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Ella (Hogencamp Burgess. She married Oscar F. Shever Feb. 8, 1922 in Onawa. The couple lived and farmed in the Anthon and Correctionville area until moving to Danbury in 1984.Mr. Shever died June 19, 1986. Mrs. Shever entered Willow Dale in July 1994.

Mrs. Shever was a member of the United Methodist Church in Anthon, and 53-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Suvivors include two sons and their wives, Maurice and Shirley of Cushing, Iowa, and Marvin and Jane of Phoenix, Ariz; two daughters and their husbands, Marjorie and Robert Goodman of Battle Creek and Carole and David Rambo of Decorah, Iowa; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbeeriis will be her grandsons Dennis, Jeri and Randall Goodman, David, Terry, Brian, Brad, Kent and Richard Shover, and Richard and Phillip Rambo.
