Leonard Leroy Foster, 68, of North Sioux City died Monday, Feb. 5, 1996 at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 1:30 p,m Wednesday at the Barker Funeral Home, in Correctionville, Iowa, with the Rev. Dee Ann Klapp officiating. Burial will be in the Correctionville Cemetery with military graveside by VFW Post 915 and American Legion Post 134, both of Elk Point, S.D. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. to 2 to 4 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Foster was born Oct. 2, 1927,in Correctionville, the son of Elsworth and Effie (Levin) Foster. He attended Correctionville schools up to the seventh grade.

He drove for the family trucking business and then entered the service. Following the service, he became involved in construction work, operating heavy equipment. He had lived in Correctionville, Cherokee and Odebolt areas before moving to North Sioux City in 1975. He retired in 1977 due to poor health.

Survivors include a brother, Donald and his wife, Leola Foster of North Sioux City; a sister, Lois and her husband, LeRoy Florke of North Sioux City; and many aunts, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Foster was a member of VFW, Elk Point Post.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Alvin and Robert.
