CUSHING, Iowa — Ruby E. Colshan, 65, of Cushing died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church in Correctionville, Iowa. Burial will be in Correctionville Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Barker Funeral home in Correctionville.

Mrs. Colshan was born July 1, 1934, in Anthon, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Matilda (Roggatz) Sands. She was raised in the Anthon area and graduated from Anthon High School.

She married Virgil Colshan on July 3, 1953, in Fort Leo and Wood, Mo. She had live in the Correctionville and Cushing areas for many years. She was most recently employed cleaning homes.

Survivors include her husband; her mother of Correctionville ; four sons, Larry and his wife, Carol of Garden Grove, Calif., Randy of Mapleton, Iowa, Rick of Forest City,Iowa, and Brian and his wife, Deb of Cushing; five sisters, Dorothy and her husband, Wallace Parker and Mildred Moore, all of Anthon, Lura and her husband, Walter Williams of Sioux City, Pearl and her husband, LeRoy Schwanz of Storm Lake, lowa and Louise and her husband, James Gaines of Casper, Wyo. two brothers, Arnold Sands and his wife, June of Correctionville and Darrell Sands of Anthon; and seven grandchildren, Erin, Emily, Derrick, Kyle, E.J., Megan and Brianna.

She was preceded in death by her father.
