1939-2000

Memorial services were held for James Michael Crow, who passed away on May 7, 2000, in Sioux City.

The Service was held on Thursday, May 11, at River Valley High School Auditorium in Correctionville. Opening words were given by Margaret Anne Crow. The Eulogy was presented by Robert and Bonnie Wiltse. Comments were made by Kathy Morgan and Tracy Crow. Comforting words were given by Sister Mary Clare Walling. The Service was directed by Barker Funeral Home from Correctionville.

James Michael Crow was born on December 16, 1939, to Emery and Margaret Ann (Jensen) Crow in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from Sioux City East High School in 1958, Morningside College in 1962, and received his Master's Degree from the University of South Dakota in 1971.

On February 23, 1963, he was united in marriage to Margaret Anne Fude in Laurens, Iowa. The couple lived in Cushing, Iowa. He was a to teacher, coach, guidance counselor and AD for Cushing , Eastwood and River Valley Schools. Jim will be remembered for coaching many fine high school football teams, including the 1978 Class 1A Iowa State High School Championship Football Team (Eastwood High School).

On Sunday, May 7, 2000, Jim passed away from a stroke at a Sioux City hospital. His organs were donated through the Iowa Donor Network.

James is survived by his wife, Margaret Anne; three dughters, Kathy and her husband Bob Morgan of Elderburg, Maryland; Karen Crow of Carroll, Iowa; and Tacy Crow and her fiance Tommy Brangham of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters Patty Glisar of Sioux City and Colleen and her husband Larry Barth of Clive; along with his nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Maze.
