SALIX, Iowa — Robert R. "Rob" Lamoureux, 56, of Salix died unexpectedly-Tuesday, Dec. 19,1995,at his home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salix with the Rev. Bruce Lawler offiCiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military graveside rites by George Nelson Post 662 of Sergeant Bluff.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m., at the church. Wood Funeral Home of Sloan is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lamoureux was born March 23, 1939, in Sioux City, the son of Milfred and Leona (LaCroix) Lamoureux. He received his education at St. Joseph School in Salix. On Jan. 28, 1967, he married Geraldine `Gerrie" Mack in Salix. He was a lifelong area farmer.

Mr. Lamoureux was an Army Veteran. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a former member of the Salix Volunteer Fire Department and former member of the Farmers Co-op Board for many years.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, William and Robert Scott, both of Sioux City; four brothers, Lowell of Sioux City, Edward of Salix, Raymond of Bull Head City, Ariz., and Mike of Sergeant Bluff; two sisters, Darlene "Bun" McLarty of Sergeant Bluff and Marilee Thelen of Sioux City, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Marilyn.
