Theodore "Ted" Metcalf passed away on November 19, 1996, at his home in La Porte, Colorado, at the age of 84.

A Memorial Service was held November 21, 1996, at the First Free Methodist Church in Ft. Collins, Colorado.

An inurnment will be held at Willow Township Cemetery in Holy Springs, Iowa on May 24, 1997, at 10:30 a.m.

Mr. Metcalf was born October 12, 1912 in Holly Springs, Iowa to Morris and Cleora Metcalf. He grew up in Hornick, Iowa and graduated from Hornick High School.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, he married Donna L. Sieger on September 5, 1947, in Sioux City, Iowa and remained in the area until 1957 when they moved to Colorado.

He was a carpenter and contractor and worked for Colorado State University at the Engineering Research Center until retiring in 1977.

Survivors include his wife Donna of La Porte, Co., his daughter Ginny and husband Frank of Cortez, Co., two grand children, Shannon Hutchins and family of Kings Mountain, N.C. and Shane Humphries and family of Omaha, Nebrabka.

Ted has several nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers asnd sisters.
