Patricia Y. Hobson, 75, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Climbing Rose Group Home in Las Vegas with her daughter at her side.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Abu Bekr Shrine Temple, 820 Nebraska St., Sioux City, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Her body was cremated and will be laid to rest in the Gulf of Mexico off the entrance to Brazos Santiago Pass with her beloved husband, "Hobby." Arrangements are under the direction of Desert Memorial Crematory and Funeral Home in Las Vegas.

Patricia was born May 14, 1936, in Covina, Calif., the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Richardson) Jahn. She married Louis L. "Hobby" Hobson Dec. 31, 1953, and raised two daughters, Belinda and Terri.

She was a past member of Order of Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile until her health made it difficult for her to participate.

Survivors include her daughters, Belinda Hobson of Las Vegas, and Terri Hobson of Royal, Iowa; three sisters, Julie (Ron) Gobble of La Mirada, Calif., Dottie (Richard) Horton of San Bernardino, Calif., and Billie Jones of Florence, Ore.; three grandchildren, Timothy Eacret of Le Mars, Iowa, Jamie Nelson of Jackson, Minn., and Neal Watkins of Ida Grove, Iowa; six great-grandchildren; and 14 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
