Judy L. Helin, 58, of Sioux City went home to be with Jesus on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, while her niece Kristin sang “Jesus Loves Me” at Touchstone Living Center.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James Travis officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Judy was born Nov. 25, 1953 in Sioux City, the daughter of Morris and Pat (O’Malley) Helin. She graduated from East High School and later moved to Omaha, where she worked at the University Medical Center.

Judy enjoyed playing cards and cribbage with friends and going to Green Gables. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. Judy enjoyed going to PACE, where she had many friends. Her family was very important to her and always put a smile on her face.

Survivors include her daughter, Angie White of Sioux Falls, S.D.; brother-in-law, Richard Will; niece, Kristen and husband Jose Rubalcava, and nephew, Kevin Will, all of Sioux City; two great nieces; two great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew; a best friend, Tim Lester; and her foster family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
