Patricia L. Patterson, 82, of Sioux City passed away July 20, 2012, at a local nursing home in Sioux City.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dan Doran officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Patricia was born May 20, 1930, in Knoxville, Iowa. She grew up in Knoxville and moved to Sioux City with the family in 1945. She attended Central High School and graduated in 1948. She had resided in Sioux City ever since.

She married Harry Patterson in November of 1958. He passed away in 1988 in Sioux City. Pat was a homemaker and in her later years, she was employed at Shopko.

Pat enjoyed rummages, going out to eat, reading, pets, walking her dog, flowers and being outside.

Survivors include her children, Mari and Ken Chu of Baltimore, Md., Holli Rogers of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Doi and Mike Durtschi of Queens Creek, Ariz., Harry (Sam) Patterson of Sioux City, and Kari and Landon Gordon of Ankeny, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois Riedesel of Sioux City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents, Edwin and Erma Langren.
