Mark A. Wilson, 50, of Canton, Ill., formerly of Sioux City, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2012, at his residence.

A private family service will be held. Cremation rites have been accorded. Arrangements are under the direction of Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Online condolences may be posted at www.oakshinesfuneralhome.com.

Mark was born on Sept. 27, 1961, in Sioux City, Iowa, to L.V. and Rose (Courey) Wilson. Mark had lived in Bronson, Iowa, prior to moving to Sioux City. He attended Lawton-Bronson High School and East High School. He attended Western Iowa Tech Community College, where he studied electronics. He had been employed by Gateway as a support technician. He moved to Canton in 2007. He then pursued employment with Caterpillar, building websites.

His interests included fast classic cars, fishing and antique furniture.

He is survived by his mother, Rose Courey of Canton; two brothers, Dan (Carla) Leffler of Canton, and Walter Hutchinson Jr. of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Rose (Kelvin) Schultzen of Moville, Iowa; and an uncle, Joe Courey of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Bertha Leffler.

Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
