Eugene F. Jauron, 78, of Sioux City died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Waterbury Funeral Service, with the Rev. Roger Madden of First United Methodist Church in Sioux City officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Eugene was born in Sioux City on July 30, 1933 to Clement and Nelle (Stiles) Jauron. The family lived in the Salix, Iowa area for a few years before moving to the Sioux City area.

He was united in marriage with Yvonne Twinn in 1954, and the couple later divorced. He then married Patricia Kane in 1972, and she preceded him in death in 1998. He then married Bibi Gaznebbi in October of 2005. Eugene worked for more than 40 years for MidAmerican Energy as a meter reader.

He enjoyed the outdoors actively participating in fishing, hunting and shooting. He also enjoyed traveling.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Bibi of Sioux City; his sons, Jason and his wife Tonya of Le Mars,Iowa, and Kevin and his special friend Melissa of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his daughter, Annette Simpson and her husband Howard of Kansas City, Mo.; and his five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Eugene "Buck" Jauron.
