SLOAN, Iowa | Scott Michael Parsley, 53, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Sloan, died May 1, 2012, at his residence.

Private family graveside services will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Salix, Iowa, at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa. Condolences may be left online at www.rushfamilycareservice.com.

Scott was born on Jan. 21, 1959, in Sioux City, son of Wayne “Bud” and Irene (Holton) Parsley. He graduated from Westwood High School in 1977, then went on to graduate from Briar Cliff University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He worked as a lab technician in Hastings, Neb., for a few years before relocating to Tucson.

Scott managed two Domino’s Pizza establishments in Tucson before managing a retail store for a number of years. He recently completed a two year lab technician program and was working on completing his work study.

Scott enjoyed and was involved in stock car racing in Arizona.

Survivors include his mother, Irene Parsley of Sloan; two sisters, Ann (Terry) Hall of Sloan, and Jan Quesnell of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother, Richard (Lori) Parsley of Phoenix, Ariz.; and six nieces and nephews, Matt (Glori) Hall, Sonja (John) Wooten, Nicole Quesnell, G.J. Quesnell, Tara Parsley, and Chad Moyer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bud Parsley; and a much loved nephew, Todd Michael Hall.
