SALIX, Iowa | Donna Lavon Ozburn, 77, of Salix died May 14, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Salix, with the Rev. Catie Newman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service and Order of the Eastern Star service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.rushfamilycareservice.com.

Donna was born on June 30, 1934, in Dundy County, Neb., the daughter of Clifford and Nolma (Watts) Watkins. She grew up on a Salix area farm at 18-months old in 1936, before moving into town. She graduated from Salix High School.

Donna was united in marriage to Louis Kroll, with whom she had two children, Connie and Steven; to Kenneth Hansen, with whom she had a daughter, Casaundra; and to Paul Ozburn. Donna worked at Sioux Harbor Truck Stop in Sioux City for a number of years before doing clerical work for an office in Sioux City for 14 years. She retired in 2008.

Donna was a member of the United Methodist Church in Salix and of the Order of the Eastern Star, in which she was a part of the Past Matron of Athiena Chapter in Sloan. Her biggest hobby was cooking.

Donna is survived by her mother, Nolma Buser of Sergeant Bluff; a daughter, Casaundra Ozburn of Williamsburg, Mo.; three grandchildren, Sarah (Eric) Ranschau, Joshua Ozburn, and Gates James; and three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kylie, and Ireland Iverson.

She was preceded in death by her father; a daughter, Connie Walsh; a son, Steven Kroll; and a great-granddaughter, MadaLyn Iverson.
