Correctionville, Iowa—Bernice Margaret Wright, 101, of Correctionville died Saturday, September 12, 1992, at Colonial Manor in Correctionville.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Cushing with the Rev. DeAnn Klapp officiating. Burial will be in the Cushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 87 p.m. today at Barker Funeral Home in Correctionville.

Mrs. Wright was born August 7, 1891, on the home farm south of Cushing, the daughter of Alfred and Elizabeth (Allison) Holcomb. She attended country school south of Cushing and one year of high school in Correctionville. On March 16, 1910, she married Ed Wright. The couple farmed most of their married life until 1949, when they retired and moved into Cushing. He died Nov 4, 1971.

Mrs. Wright was a member of the United Methodist Church, having served as president of the Methodist Women. She was a member and former president of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a former member of the 500 Club, Bridge Club and Sunshine Club. She had lived at Casa De Paz Care Center in Sioux City for two years and at Colonial Manor in Correctionville the last five years.

Survivors include two sons, Virgil and his wife, Maxine Wright of Correctionville and James and Marlys Wright of Ardmore, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Durham of Correctionville and Phyllis Edwards and her husband, Lawrence of Lawton; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Katherine Holcomb of Correctionville; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Arlas; a daughter, Esther and her husband, Frits Hettwer, a son-in-law, Arthur Durham; her step-mother, Jennie Holcomb; a grandson, LeRoy Wright; two great-granddaughters, Milzi Ann Munz and Cynthea Durham; a sister, Alma Walrod and three brothers, Robert, James and Fred Holcomb.
