Lawton, Iowa—Gus Zellmer, 94, of Lawton died Thursday, January 2, 1997, at the Heartland Care Center in Marcus, Iowa.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville, Iowa, with the Rev. Michael Kroona officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery at Moville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the McCulloch Funeral Home at Moville.

Mr. Zellmer was born April 16, 1902, in Moville, the son of Gustav and Louise (Johp) Zellmer. He married Katherine Rippke on March 7, 1928, in Rock Branch, Iowa. She died December 17, 1986, in Sioux City. He was a lifetime resident of Lawton and Moville. He was a farmer.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Woodbury County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Mervin and Jessie and Arnold and Lorna all of Sioux City; three daughters and their husbands, Lorna and Marvin Ebert of Marcus, Iowa, Lois and Bib Brown of Lawrenceberg, Tenn., and Lorene and Kent Rogers of Weatherby Lake, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Frank Zellmer of Moville.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
