Danbury, Iowa—Lola Rosauer of Danbury died Monday, April 9, 2001, at a Sioux City hospital at the age of 62 years, 3 months and 24 days.

A vigil wake service was held on Wednesday, April 11, at Armstrong Chapel in Anthon, Iowa. The funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anthon, Iowa, with the Rev. Mark Harrington officiating. Bonita Kane provided organ music, and Dana Carlson sang “Angels Among Us.” Burial was in Mount St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry Huss, Terry Dean, Jeremy Weber, Bob Cloud, Steve Cloud and Chuck Cloud.

Lola Mae Rosauer was born December 15, 1938, in Anthon, the daughter of Loyal and Rose (Sevening) Cloud. She grew up and was educated in the Anthon area and graduated with the Anthon High School Class of 1957.

On June 11, 1957, Lola was united in marriage to Walter “Bud” Rosauer in Anthon. The couple moved to a farm near Danbury, where they made their home and raised their family.

She was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church in Danbury.

Those survivors left to cherish Lola’s memory include Bud, her husband of 43 years; two daughters, Cindy Huss and her husband, Larry of Hornick, Iowa, and Gwen Dean of North Port, Florida; one son James “Bart” Rosauer and his wife, Mary of Olathe, Kansas; and seven grandchildren along with many other relatives, neighbors and good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sandra; and four brothers.
