29 May 2002HORNICK, Iowa -- Ella E. Gallagher, 95, formerly of Hornick, died Sunday, May 26, 2002, at a Missouri Valley, Iowa, nursing home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Chapel in Sloan, Iowa, with the Rev. Jim Thomas of Holly Springs Bible Fellowship officiating. Burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery, Holly Springs, Iowa. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Ella was born Feb. 2, 1907, in Hornick, the daughter of John and Ella M. (Knopp) Gallagher. She attended and graduated from Holly Springs High School.
She was employed with Chicago-Great Western Railroad as a comptometor operator until retiring in the 1960s.
She was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, George Sr., Fred, Johnny and Roy Gallagher; a sister, Marie Watts; and nephews and a niece.
Pallbearers will be Ray, Dennis, Frank, Kenny and Richard Gallagher and Robert Williams.
