ANTHON, Iowa -James P. Wilson, 48, of Palm Harbor, Fla., formerly of Anthon, died Friday, April 6, 2001, at Mease Countryside Hospital in Clearwater, Fla., of cirrhosis of the liver.

Memorial services were held in Clearwater. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Wilson was born Jan. 1, 1953, the son of Ralph and Grace Wilson. He graduated from Anthon High School in 1971.

He was employed with Edwards Optical in Sioux City. He moved to Florida in 1973. He enjoyed animals.

Survivors include his parents of Anthon; four brothers and their wives, John and Gayla of Anthon, Ray and Priscilla of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Steve and Sue of Correctionville, Iowa, and Kermit and Lynn of Ames, Iowa; a sister, Suzy Schneider of Brea, Calif.; and a special friend, Miguel Hall of Palm Harbor.

Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society.
