Funeral Services Held For Former Resident

Helen Howard, 84, North Hollywood, California, formerly of Sioux City and Bronson, died Saturday, April 20, 1985 in North Hollywood after a long illness.

Services were at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 1985 in the Christy Morningside Funeral Home in Sioux City. The Rev. Robert Peters of Elliott Creek Presbyterian Church of Bronson officiated. Burial was in Graceland Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Howard, the former Helen Bryant, was born September 1, 1900, in Rodney, Iowa. She attended school in Bronson. She married Hubert A. Howard June 26, 1920, in Sioux City. They lived in Bronson until 1945 when they moved to California. They lived briefly in Sioux City during the early 1950s before returning to California. She was a sewing machine operator from 1948 to 1958 in Los Angeles and Burbank, California.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Walter of Los Angeles and Donald of Panorama, California; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Hanson of Durango, Colorado; two sisters, Mrs. Rena Kenney of Bronson and Mrs. Clarabelle Gagne of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers, William of Hemet, California and Clyde of Sioux City, and six grandchildren.
