Services held March 10th for Bernice Harrison

Bernice A (Woldt) Harrison, 84, of Lawton died Wednesday, February 28, 2001, while visiting her son in Hudson, Florida of Pulmonary fibrosis.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton, with the Rev. Wayne Peach officiating. Burial was in Banner Township Cemetery. Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.

Bill Prince, soloist, sang “In The Garden” and “Amazing Grace.”Virginia Prince-Renner was organist.

Pallbearers were Noel and Gene Harrison, John Kahler, Troy and Ty George and Walt Reinholdt.

Mrs. Harrison was born November 1, 1916, in Kingsley, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Anna (Ihns) Woldt.

She had been a life long resident of Plymouth and Woodbury Counties in Iowa.

She married Bert Harrison in 1935.

The couple farmed for many years and she was a homemaker.

She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church and enjoyed bowling, line dancing, bingo and shuffleboard.

Survivors include her husband; a son and his wife, Dennis B. and Diane Harrison of Midland, Michigan; a stepson and his wife, Cilbert and Beverly Harrison of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association.
