Bronson, Iowa—Oren E. Griffith, 68, of Bronson died Friday, January 3, 1997, at Matney Morningside Manor, following a brief illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m., Monday at Christy, Smith & Hockenberry Funeral Home. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery at Lawton, Iowa. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Mr. Griffith was born August 8, 1928, at Oto, Iowa, to Alton and Alice (Weathers). He was raised in Oto and moved to Sioux City in the late 40s. He moved to Lawton in 1964, and then to Bronson in 1987. He had worked for Sioux City Stationery for many years. Recently he had driven a school bus for the Lawton-Bronson School District, retiring in 1996.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Spencer and Lola, and Stanley And Madonna, all of Lawton; three daughters, Cindy and her husband, Bruce of Louisville, Colo., Camela and her husband, Don Ronfeldt, and Cara, all of Bronson; nine grandchildren; Mindi, Spencer, Kristina, Jay, Nathan, Brenden, Caitlin, Lauren and Kyle; and one sister, Vava Fitzpatrick of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Jean and Beulah.
