Lawton, Iowa—Erwin “Mike” Funck, 91, of Lawton died Thursday, March 28, 1996, at a local hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Lawton with the Rev. Bruce W. Jackson officiating. Burial will be in banner Township Cemetery in Lawton. Visitation will be 2 to 8:30 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a 7 p.m. prayer service at Christy Smith & Hockenberry Morningside Funeral Home.

Mr. Funck was born March 13, 1905 in Banner Township to Henry and EMMA (Braesh) Funck. He attended country schools near Hinton, Iowa and was a lifelong Siouxland resident. He married Ann Friedrichs November 21, 1954 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Lawton. He farmed in the Lawton and Bronson areas.

Mr. Funck was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Lawton.

Survivors include his wife; a sister, Esther Krom of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sisters and brothers.

Pallbearers will be Mike and Aaron Krom, Joe, Mike, and Robert Funck and Mike Benck.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
