Lawton, Iowa—Dorothie E. Riemcke, 80, of Lawton died Wednesday April 12, 1995 at Countryside Retirement Home in Sioux City after a long illness.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton. Dr. Robert E. Peters of Community Presbyterian Church will officiate. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today at McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville.

Mrs. Riemcke was born August 18, 1914, in Lawton, the daughter of Tom and Alma (Ludwig) Grigg. She was raised in Lawton and graduated from Lawton Consolidated School in 1931. She graduated from St. Vincent School of Nursing in 1934. She married Kenneth G. Riemcke April 26, 1935 in Kahoka, Mo. She was involved in the nursing profession in hospitals in Muscatine and Davenport Iowa and Rock Island, Ill. The couple moved to Lawton in 1948 and operated the Riemcke Grocery Store. In 1957 she returned to nursing at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Sioux City and retired in 1976. Mr. Riemcke died July 26, 1991, in Sioux City.

Mrs. Riemcke was a member of Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton.

Survivors include a brother, Don and his wife, Mabel Grigg of Lawton, a sister, Beatrice Shoemaker of Lawton and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials have been established in her name with Community Presbyterian Church Camp and Hospice of Siouxland.
