SERGEANT BLUFF -- Dorothy (Scott) Kocher, 88, of Sergeant Bluff passed away Dec. 8, 2010.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery, with Karl Luther officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel in Sioux City.

Dorothy was born April 23, 1922, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to John H. and Elizabeth (Cottoner) Scott. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School with the class of 1940.

Dorothy married Victor Kocher on Nov. 21, 1941, in Junction City, Kan. She enjoyed raising her children and did ironing for the public in her home.

She was a past member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her children, Richard (Marla) Kocher, Nancy Kellen and Cheryl Kocher; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one due in May; and three great-grandchildren and one due in May.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor in 1978; daughters, Carol Robert in 2006, and Judith Jatzke in 2001; sisters, Ann Wolff and Gladys Anderson; and brothers, John, Robert, Ronald and Frank Scott.
