17 May 2011SIOUX CITY -- Sheron L. Johnson-Larson, 67, of Sioux City died Friday, May 13, 2011, at her residence.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Morningside Lutheran Church, with Pastor Kevin Lee officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff.
Sheron was born June 27, 1943, in Astoria, Ore., the daughter of Harold and Mary (Doyle) Blessing. She was raised in the Jackson, Neb., area. She graduated in 1961 from South Sioux City High School.
She married Marvin Larson on Aug. 3, 1988, in Sioux City.
Sheron was employed as a secretary at Marian Medical Center, later Mercy Medical Center, and retired in 2000 due to health reasons. Sheron enjoyed canning, reading and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin Larson; her son, Jeff Johnson of Sioux City; her daughter, Jennifer Cooke of Sioux City; her mother, Mary Blessing of Wakefield, Neb.; two brothers, Chuck Blessing and his wife, Kathye of Sacramento, Calif., and Mike Blessing and his wife, Kelly of Wakefield; and a grandson, Kristopher Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Blessing.
