SIOUX CITY -- Arthur J. Abraham, 59, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011, at his residence.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael Erpelding officiating. Per Arthur's wishes, the body will be cremated following the services. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, Sioux City. Arthur was born July 24, 1951, in Omaha, to George and Mary Ann (Clark) Abraham. He graduated from Central High School in Omaha and received electrician training at ABC Technical School in Omaha.

He was married to Jenny Adams in 1985 in Omaha. Arthur worked as a master electrician for Home Depot in Sioux City.

Arthur was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He enjoyed listening to and playing music, especially blues and jazz. He was a family oriented man who considered everyone he knew family. He was a devoted and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all. He will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Jenny Abraham of Sioux City; son, Tim (JoDee) Shults of Sioux City; three daughters, Dori (Darren) Koster of South Sioux City, Renee Shults of Sioux City, and Kayla Mrsny of Wayne, Neb.; nine grandchildren; a sister, Annette Burghart of Omaha; a brother, Edward Abraham of Minneapolis; and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George; and a sister, Lois.
