Anthon, Iowa—Marie I. Neal, 95, of Sioux City, formerly of Anthon, died Friday, Jan. 20, 1995, at Countryside Retirement Home in Sioux City.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Anthon with the Rev. James Togges officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery, Rock Branch, rural Correctionville. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a vigil wake service at 7:30 p.m. at the Walter-Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Mrs. Neal was born Sept. 20, 1899, in rural Anthon, the daughter of Thomas E. and Mary Anna Isabelle (Walling) Grafford. She was raised by her materal grandmother after the death of her mother in 1906. She later moved into Anthon and attended St. Joseph Catholic School. She married S.W. Campbell Nov. 14, 1923. The couple lived in the Anthon and Rock Branch area. He died in 1956. In 1970 she married Eddie Neal. He died in 1976. She moved to Sioux City in 1978 and entered the retirement home in July 1991.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands. Dorothy and John Sadler of Correctionville and Pauline and S.J. Huse of Warnerville, N.Y: 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
