23 November 2001MOVILLE, Iowa -- Frances Irene Steinhoff, 78, of Moville died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville, with the Rev. Scott Meier officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville.
Mrs. Steinhoff was born Aug. 28, 1923, in Anthon, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Grace (Cob) Dicks. She was raised in Anthon and attended country school in rural Anthon. She graduated from Anthon High School.
She married Ray Steinhoff on March 2, 1943, in South Sioux City. The couple farmed near Oto and Smithland, Iowa. They moved to Climbing Hill, Iowa, in 1954 and moved to Moville in 1998. She was a homemaker.
She was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Homemaker Club. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville.
Survivors include her husband, Ray of Moville; a daughter and her husband, Susan and Roger Christiansen of Moville; a sister, Dorothy Mahrt of Anthon; two grandchildren, Ryan Christiansen of Moville and Staci and her husband, Justin Ronfeldt of Moville; and two great-grandchildren, Makenzie and Payge Ronfeldt, both of Moville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Grace Helen Cisney; and a brother, Leo Dicks.
Frances thanks all her Birthday Coffey Pals and a special thanks to Pauline Feddersen, Bette McLarty, Shirley Meyer and Janet Goodrich for the many years of wonderful friendship and great love.
To Erica, Holly, Lisa, Laura and Brittany, I enjoyed your friendship so very much, each of you are precious.
