MOVILLE, Iowa -- Nora Loraine Marie Neville, 93, of Moville died Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Moville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Harold E. Werley officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville.

Mrs. Neville was born June 22, 1909, on a farm near Moville, the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Epling) Tabke. She attended country school near Moville and graduated from Moville High School in 1929. She continued her education at Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

She married Clarence Neville on March 29, 1930. He died in 1973. She married Arnie Putensen in 1974. They separated in the early 1990s.

She taught junior high English in Oto, Bronson, Climbing Hill, Hinton and Moville, Iowa, country schools.

She was a member of Moville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Moville Senior Center, Moville Women's Club, Order of the Eastern Star, The Meadows, 4-H and Morningside Saddle Club. She enjoyed playing cards and being a member of the Birthday Club.

Survivors include her children, CoeLeta and her husband, Leo Groth, Loren Neville and his wife, Jean, and Byron Neville and his wife, Irma, all of Moville, and Mary Jacoby of Kent, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Clara Sargent, Esther Tabke, Vesta Tabke and Rachel Petersen; and three brothers, Fred and John Tabke and an infant brother.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Marlin and Lyndon Groth, Craig, Ryan and Alan Neville and Kim and Scott Jacoby.
