.MOVILLE, Iowa -- Linda LaVonne Cooper, 49, of Moville died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at Moville.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Moville, with the Rev. Roger Augustine officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery in Moville. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville is in charge of arrangements.

Linda was born Oct. 20, 1952, in Denison, the daughter of Donald and LaVonne (Hageman) Hulsebus. She graduated from Denison High School in 1970.

She married Thomas Cooper on Aug. 8, 1980, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Denison. Linda worked for J.C. Penney and later McKeown Engineering while in Denison. The couple moved to Boone, Iowa in 1981, living there until 1985, when they moved to Plainfield, Iowa. They lived in Plainfield until 1988, when they moved to Moville. Until her health did not allow it, she was a teacher's aide at Woodbury Central Elementary School.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Moville, the church choir and a C.C.D. teacher. She enjoyed spending time with her coffee club friends, doing crafts, interior decorating, reading the Bible and many other books, collecting antiques, building scrapbooks, working crosswords and bird watching.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas; two sons, Jerod and Gabriel Cooper; two daughters, Carissa and Millie Cooper, all of Moville; a brother and his wife, Dean and Susan Hulsebus of Granger, Iowa; two sisters and their husbands, Carol and Ed Fink and Lori and Jeff Petersen, all of Denison, Iowa; a brother-in-law and his wife, Norman and Patricia Cooper of San Antonio, Texas; a sister-in-law and her husband, Beverly and Thomas Buckman of Glenview, Ill.; a brother-in-law and his wife, James and Sharon Cooper of Mondamin, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Reggie Cooper.

Pallbearers will be Roger Christiansen, Chuck Hoelker, Charlie Kostelnick, Kurt Nash, Rich Pagel and Steve Riser.

The family prefers memorials be made in Linda's name.
