3 January 2002Cassandra Kay Boggs, 18, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Del Olivier of Augustana Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery, Moville, Iowa. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Cassandra was born Sept. 15, 1983, in Sioux City. She attended Whittier and Longfellow Elementary Schools, East Middle School and East High School.
Cassandra believed in God and was such a special person. She was vibrant and full of life. She was a loving and generous person. She volunteered at the animal shelter and had a great loved of horses and other animals. She also volunteered and helped those in need at the Gospel Missions. She will be missed everyday and forever.
Survivors include her mother, Kathleen Boggs of Sioux City; a sister and her husband, Suzy Boggs-Williams and Harold Williams of Sioux City; a brother, Darrell Boggs of Sioux City; an aunt, JoAnn Baldwin of Sioux City; a nephew, Wyatt Boggs-Williams of Sioux City; a niece, Hannah Boggs of Sioux City; cousins, Katherine Baldwin, Sandra Schmith, Jennifer and Pamela Baldwin, all of Sioux City; and her many Hispanic friends.
She was preceded in death by her uncle, Harry Baldwin; and a grandmother, Nora Opal Green.
Pallbearers will be Harold Williams, Dudley Curry, Gary and Sandra Schmith, Richie Miller Jr. and Wyatt Boggs-Williams.
