..SIOUX CITY -- Jeremy M. (Simons) Bishop, 38, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at a local care facility.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff.

Jeremy was born Feb. 2, 1972, in Kirksville, Mo., the son of Marlin Simons and Peggy Sird. He moved to Florida in 1984. Jeremy was a roofer while in Florida, and moved to Sioux City during 2008.

On July 2, 2009, Jeremy was united in marriage to Christina Gibbs in Vermillion, S.D.

Jeremy loved the ocean where he could kayak and snook fish. He was known as a great host to all his friends and loved by all. He was a talented artist and enjoyed being with his family.

Jeremy is survived by his wife, Christina; his stepsons, Remington Rosenbaum and Quinton Rosenbaum; his father, Marlin Simons of Arkansas; his mother, Peggy Sird of Florida; his brother, Jamie Simons of New Jersey; his sister, Renae Simons of Sioux City; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Chad Simons; and his grandmothers, Shirley Swegarden and Donnamae Simons.
