8 August 2010SIOUX CITY -- Douglas Doyle Massey, 57, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at a local hospital.
Per his wishes, the body has been cremated. Services will be at a later date.
Douglas was born May 25, 1953, in Sioux City. His parents were Harlan L. Massey and Lola M. (Rea) Massey Johnson. He lived most of his life in Denver, Colo., then moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa, before returning to Sioux City.
He is survived by his mother, Lola M. Johnson; six siblings, Bill Massey and his wife, Audrey, Steve Massey, Vicki Lindberg and her husband, Dave, Kim Johnson, and Jodi Rahn, all of Sioux City, and Gary Massey of Clinton, Iowa; two godchildren, Bobby D. and Natalee A. Trudell of Sioux City; his aunt, Doris Mozak; and his dog, Petey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dwayne W. Johnson; his son, Clint; and the love of his life, Leta Tuttle; his brother, Randy Joe Massey; and a niece, Mickey Lynn Elhers.
