SIOUX CITY -- Darline F. Rademacker, 87, of Sioux City passed Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thor Swanson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Darline was born March 8, 1923, in Rosalie, Neb., the daughter of Halsey and Mina L. (Joyce) Sappingfield. She graduated from Walthill Nebraska High School.

She married Leonard Rademacker Jr. on Dec. 31, 1948, in Sioux City. She was employed at McKesson Robbins before becoming a co-owner of Rademacker Construction with her husband. She then took care of the financial part of the business. They were avid rummage sale advocates and later traveled the country participating in antique locations, where they sold and bought collector glass.

She was crazy about all of her great grandkids, liked living at Prime Living Apartments, where she met and enjoyed many friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda and her husband, Craig Herbold of Jefferson, S.D., and Nancy Phillips of Sioux City; a son, Leonard Chris and his wife, Lisa Rademacker of Brandon, Iowa, a half-brother, William Sappingfield; nine grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard on Sept. 6, 1997, in Sioux City; and two sisters, Betty L. Knudsen and Tho Fern Kintz.

Pallbearers will be Craig Herbold Jr., Paul Johnson, George and Robert Norton, Phil Marchand and Mike Wells.
