SIOUX CITY -- James Lee Lofgren, 60, of Omaha, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Oct. 21, 2010, in McKinney, Texas, after a long battle with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Braman Mortuary, 144th St. Chapel in Omaha. Private graveside services will be held. Condolences may be sent online to www.bramanmortuary.com.

Jim was born May 29, 1950. He was married to Lynn Landers in January 1970, in Sioux City. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1990, after 21 years of service. He had been in dental sales in the Omaha and surrounding area for the past 20 years.

Survivors include his father, George A. Lofgren of Quinlan, Texas; his mother, Theresa (Bob) Hammond of Sioux City; his loving wife of 40 years, Lynn Lofgren of Omaha; a daughter, Melanie (Jesse Jones) Lofgren of Frisco, Texas; sisters, Ruth (Rich) Park of Omaha and Sheryl Lofgren of Wichita, Kan.; brothers, Steve Lofgren of Rowlett, Texas, and Phillip (Shelly) Lofgren of Omaha; and many other family and friends.
