2 November 2010SIOUX CITY -- Shirley Henriette O'Connor, 90, of Hampton, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Kenneth Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Shirley was born Jan. 2, 1920, in Sioux City, to William and Augusta (Klein) Myers. She graduated from Central High School.
She was united in marriage to Eugene O'Connor on Feb. 21, 1954, in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1991, in Sioux City. She owned and operated Motor Row Lunch Restaurant, located at West Seventh Street, for 24 years.
She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family.
She is survived her daughter, Liz (Terry) Carr of Hampton, Iowa; and a grandchild, Aidan Carr of Hampton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
