15 June 2010SIOUX CITY -- Mervin M. Murray Jr., 78, formerly of Sioux City passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010.
Memorial services were held May 27, 2010 in Fremont, Calif.
Mervin was born Dec. 22, 1932, in Sioux City, the son of Georgette (Lamoureux) and Mervin M. Murray. Mervin was married to Barbara Spenner for 56 years. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force and was a building inspector for the city of Fremont for 20 years.
He is survived by wife, Barbara; four children, Michael, Mark, Patrick and Theresa; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pauline L. Heilman of Salix, Iowa.
Mervin was preceded in death by his parents, Mervin and Georgette; and his siblings, Ronald, Donald, James, Vincent, Robert, and Jeanne.
