SIOUX CITY -- Margaret Angeline Clancey, 86, of Muscatine, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, died Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Carrington Place in Muscatine.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Mathias Church, 215 West Eighth Street, in Muscatine. The Rev. Joseph Sia will officiate the service. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Calvary Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home in Muscatine. Online condolences for the Clancey family may be left at wittichfuneralhome.com.

Margaret was born March 27, 1924, in Sioux City, the daughter of Fred and Vivian Rosenberry Dreves.

She married Douglas A. Clancey on Sept. 3, 1949, in Sioux City. He preceded her in death in 1977. She worked for Northwestern Bell and AT&T in Sioux City and Des Moines until her retirement. She moved to Muscatine in 1997, to be closer to her family.

She was a member of Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

Those left to honor her memory include four sons, Martin E. Clancey and wife, Connie of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Douglas A. Clancey and wife, Mish of Longmont, Colo., Mike Clancey and fiancee, Karen Mussman of Truman, Minn., and Fred Clancey and wife, Jolynn of Deforest, Wis.; four daughters, Maggie Clancey of Iowa City, Iowa, Connie Bennett and husband, Gary of Muscatine, Donna Brown and husband, Earl of Roland, Iowa, and Clara Lohse and husband, Keith of Elizabeth City, N.C.; 16 grandchildren, Andrew Clancey, Jennifer Clancey, Josh Bennett, Doug Bennett, Sam Bennett and wife, Leslie, Sean Stolz, Kelly Rivera and husband, Rene, Marie Brown, Doug Clancey, Melissa Clancey, Michelle Clancey, and Marissa Clancey, Elizabeth Lohse, Alex Lohse, Samantha Clancey, and John Clancey; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, John Dreves of Knoxville, Tenn.

She was preceded in deth by her parents; her husband; and three brothers, Fred Dreves Jr., Lee Dreves, and Martin Dreves.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Bennett, Sam Bennett, Doug Clancey, Fred Clancey, Andrew Clancey, and Mike Clancey.

Memorials may be made to the Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish in Margaret's honor.
