20 December 2010SIOUX CITY -- Larry L. Moriston, 61, of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, in Sergeant Bluff at a local care facility after a year-long battle with cancer.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff. Burial will be in the Elk Point Cemetery at Elk Point, S.D. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Larry L. Moriston was born on Oct. 11, 1949, in Sioux City, the son of Wesley and Margaret (Bradshaw) Moriston. He was a lifelong resident of Sioux City and worked construction in the area
Larry is survived by his son, Jeremy Moriston and wife, Kendall "Poodie" of Sioux City; one grandson, Kody Moriston of Jefferson, S.D.; one daughter, Jennifer Vos and husband, Greg "Kooter" of Emerson, Neb.; one sister, Linda Scott of Sedalia, Mo.; and two special cousins, Rod Derochie and Earl Derochie, both of North Sioux City, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Margaret Moriston and one brother, Leroy Sexton.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Moriston, Kody Moriston, Kelly Connors, Rod Derochie, Earl Derochie and Jason Derochie.
