SIOUX CITY -- Darrell F. Stansbury, 63, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 21, 2010.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. R. Paul Johnston officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Darrell, the son of Ralph and Bernadine (Klinheksel) Stansbury, was born on June 20, 1947, in Sioux City. He received his education in Sioux City and was a lifelong Sioux City area resident.

Darrell married Barbara (Force) Stansbury on July 31, 1971. He worked for State Steel as a truck driver for 15 years.

Darrell enjoyed watching western movies, especially starring John Wayne. He also enjoyed setting up model trains and loved classic cars. He was a member of the American Legion Post 307.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Barbara of Sioux City; three sons, Ryan (Denise) Stansbury, Brent (Mendi) Stansbury, and Brad Stansbury all of Sioux City; one sister, Joanne (David) Dunn of Apopka, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Pat, Marlene, and Sandra.
