SLOAN, Iowa -- Everett "EZ" Alfredson, 75, of Sloan died suddenly Monday, June 5, 2006, at his residence.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Evangelical Covenant Church in Sloan, with the Rev. Richard Moore officiating. Burial will be in Sloan Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.

Everett was born Feb. 13, 1931, in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Albert "Barney" and Muri (Fegenbush) Alfredson. He was raised in rural Sloan and attended school at Sloan Public School. He worked for many years for Mose Linscott and learned the carpenter trade, which he continued as a self-employed carpenter.

Survivors include a brother, the Rev. David Alfredson of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be sent to the Evangelical Covenant Church in Sloan.
