Anthon, Iowa—Marvin Clause, 62, of Anthon died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1996, at Good Samaritan Center in Holstein.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Anthon with Pastor Kent Kastler officiating. Walter-Armstrong Funeral Home of Anthon is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Clause was born Feb. 8, 1933, in Moville, the son of Brady and Pearl Irene (Towers) Clause. He married Eunice Hill Nov. 13, 1962, in Sioux City. They lived in the Anthon area where he worked and acted as postmaster and later worked for Toy National Bank at various locations for more than 23 years. He retired in 1989 due to illness.

Mr. Clause was a member of United Methodist Church of Anthon, Cerulean Masonic Lodge 550 AF & AM of Anthon, the Sioux City Scottish Rite Bodies and the American Legion Post 389 of Anthon.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rick Shever of Omaha and Kent and his wife, Connie of Hickory, N.C.; three grandchildren; a brother, Raymond of Moville and a sister, Margaret Harrison of Houston, Texas.
