Joint Funeral Service Held Monday For Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Livermore

Joint funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Harold Edward Livermore were held Monday, November 27, 1978 at 10:00 a.m. in the Grace Methodist Church, Sioux City. The Rev. Ronald R. Kitterman officiated. Interment was in Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton, under the direction of the McCulloch Funeral Home, Moville.

Mrs. Wayne Eberly, vocalist, sang “Take My Hand Precious Lord” and “Beyond The Sunset.” She was accompanied by Miss Cynthia Salasek, organist.

Casketbearers were Messrs. LeRoy Boggs, Daniel, Jim and Ron Livermore, Bob Manker, Walter Susemihl, David and Paul Christenson, E. Bruce and Ray Johnson, Ronald and Jerry Stilwell.

Mr. and Mrs. Livermore were killed in a truck-pedestrian accident at Mesa, Arizona Wednesday, November 22, 1978.

The couple was married May 7, 1938, at Elk Point, South Dakota. They lived in Moville about seven years and then moved to Sioux City where they resided for 30 years. They returned to Moville in 1975.

Mr. Livermore, 66, the son of Daniel R. and Maud A. Parkhill Livermore, was born July 6, 1912, near Climbing Hill. He was educated in Woodbury County schools. He was a retired warehouse foreman at Bekins Furniture Store in Sioux City where he had been employed about 30 years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Drivers and Warehousemen’s Union.

Mr. Livermore’s survivors include one sister, Mrs. Marion W (Gladys) Jensen of Auburn, Washington; three brothers, Raymond A. of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Clarence D. of Moville and Kenneth D. of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mrs. Livermore, 62, the former Fern Isabelle Christenson, daughter of Edward A. and Mathilda Anderson Christenson, was born July 3, 1916, at Lawton. She graduated from Moville High School. She was employed at the Wincharger-Zenith Corp. about 15 years.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and a former member of the Rebekah Lodge.
Mrs. Livermore’s survivors include one brother, Richard of rural Kingsley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, William and Ralph and one sister, Mrs. Robert (Edith) Johnson
