Bronson, Iowa—Leonard Arthur Johnson, 51, of Fremont, Calif., former Bronson resident died suddenly Monday in his home of an apparent heart attack.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today in the Chapel of the Roses at Fremont. Burial will be at Irving Cemetery at Fremont.
Mr. Johnson was born April 23, 1936 at Smithland. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1958, serving on the Bome Richard and Yorktown as a machinist mate. He moved to California in 1964, where he owned and operated King Kovers Upholstery Store in Fremont. He married Sharon Heaps Feb. 28, 1965 at Lake Tahoe, Nev. Mr. Johnson retired in 1985.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Edward of Fremont; three daughters, Lynne, Karen and Vicki all at home; his mother, Margaret Hollister Johnson of Sioux City; four brothers, Melvin of Perris, Calif., Marvin of Fremont, Richard of Sergeant Bluff and Russell of Sioux City; five sisters, Mrs. Lee (Ethel) Torrez of Sioux City, Betty Johnson Hansen of Fremont, Calif., Mrs. Larry (Dorothy) Tienken of Norfolk, Nebr., Mrs. Dan (Margaret) Wall of Fremont, Calif., and Mrs. Larry (Mary) Heeb of Council Bluffs.
