Anthon, Iowa—Everett E. Yockey, 57, of Central City and formerly of Anthon, died Saturday Feb. 2, 1991 at a Scottsdale, Ariz. Hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Anthon, with the Rev. Dennis Tevis officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery, Rock Branch. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Walter-Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Mr. Yockey was born April 4, 1933, at Anthon, the son of Clifford and Frances (Livermore) Yockey. He graduated from Anthon High School in 1952. He married Betty Green Oct. 2, 1953, in Moville. She died Oct. 14, 1965. He served in the Air Force from 1953 to 1957. He graduated from Wayne State Teachers College in 1960. He taught and coached at Lenox from 1960 to 1962; Kingsley-Pierson, 1962-1968; Central City, 1968-1971. He married Bonnie Norton June 12, 1969, in Cedar Rapids. From 1972 to 1989 he taught at Center Point-Urbana, retiring in 1989.

Mr. Yockey was a member of United Methodist Church in Central City and American Post 421 of Central City. He was a past member of National Education Association, Iowa State Education Association and Iowa Athletic Association. He was a member of the1949 State High School Championship baseball team of Anthon.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Debra and her husband, William Lulf, of Sioux City, Miss Peggy Yockey of Stockton, Calif., and Lisa and her husband, Christopher Brandt, of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Frances Yockey of Anthon; and a grandson, Harry Brandt, of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his father.
