Lawton, Iowa—Robert E. Funck, 63, of Lawton died Thursday, Aug. 24, 1995, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Lawton with the Rev. Paul G. Sieveking, of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux City officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. at Christy, Smith & Hockenberry Morningside Chapel. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Funck was born May 31, 1932, in Bronson, Iowa, and was a lifelong Bronson/Lawton area resident. He married Collette C. Lehmann August 31, 1957, in Merrill. He had worked for the railroad, the Sioux City Stockyards and also farmed.
Mr. Funck was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Lawton and Lawton American Legion Post 718. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; three sons and their wives, Robert W. and Sue of Sioux City, Michael L. and Kerry of St Joseph, Mo., and Joseph L. and Shari of South Sioux City; six grandchildren and a brother, Lenard of Morrison, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lena Funck; and two sisters, Betty Lucas and Jo Ann Sidie.
