Carl Baird, 66, 2532 S. Cleveland Street, died Wednesday in Little Rocks, Ark., after suffering a heart attack. He had gone there to visit a daughter, Mrs. Vera Crow.

Mr. Baird was born December 8, 1894, in Brenton County, Iowa. The family located on a farm in 1901 near Climbing Hill. He married Mildred Fricken January 25, 1916, in Sioux City. They came here in 1944. He operated a star route for the post office department from 1951 to 1959.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Theodore F., of Lawton and Wayland C., of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Crow and Mrs. Verla Scheibe, a missionary in Brazil; a brother, Cecil of Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Goodrich of Climbing Hill and Mrs. Elmira Pinto of Oxnard, Calif. and 13 grandchildren.

The W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside has charge of arrangements.
