Kingsley, Iowa—Warren “Pee Wee” Heeren, 66, of Shawnee, Kansas, and former Kingsley area resident, died Sunday, March 13, 1994, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First Lutheran Church in Kingsley with the Rev. Michael Gruhn officiating. Burial will be in the Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at the Earnest-Dickison-Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley.

Mr. Heeren was born Dec. 4, 1927, in Brunsville, the son of John and Emilie (Jaster) Heeren. He lived in the Pierson and Kingsley area and in Sioux City for many years. He had lived the last 10 years in the Shawnee area, where he worked as a lineman for Capitol Electric Co. He married Dorothy Hofer May 14, 1977, in Kingsley.

Mr. Heeren was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Locals 53 and 55.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Michael of Madrid, Iowa, Steven of Moville, Craig of Westfield and Scott of Sioux City; two daughters, Judy Bayless of Savannah, Mo., and Vicki Sitzmann of Kingsley; a brother, Harold of Kingsley; a sister, Betty Hulst of Hospers; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kent; a brother; two sisters; and his parents.
