Moville, Iowa—Evelyn E. Vohs, 70, of Moville died Wednesday in a Sioux City nursing home after a brief illness.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. The Rev. Dave Daumer, associate pastor of St Paul’s Lutheran church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Mrs. Vohs, the former Evelyn E. Powers, was born December 31, 1915, in Plymouth County, Iowa, where she was raised and educated. She married Adolph Vohs. The couple farmed near Sioux City for many years until retiring and moving to Moville in 1968.
Survivors include a son, Douglas in Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Janice) Kracht of Peterson and Mrs. Roger (Joan) Murray of Lincoln, Nebr.; two brothers, Laurel Henry of Parkers Prairie. Minn., and Duane Henry of Kingsley; two sisters, Mrs. Eileen Risley of Fresno, Calif., a Mrs. Francis (LaVonne) Hall, Napa, Calif., and four grandchildren
