Funeral services for Ernest G. Clift, 67, a resident of Hornick and retired farmer will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Holly Springs Christian Church. Rev Forrest Clark of Hornick and W.G. Sullender of Sioux City will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Township cemetery under the direction of the Hilts funeral home of Sloan. Mr. Clift died at a Sioux City hospital Monday after a long illness.

Mr. Clift was a lifelong resident of the Hornick vicinity. He was born in Woodbury County in 1889 and had farmed before moving to Hornick. He was a member of the Modern Woodman lodge at Climbing Hill and the Christian Church at Holly Springs.

Survivors are the widow, Grace; two brothers, Charles of Hornick and Forest W. of Sioux City; four sisters, Mrs. Flora Arnold of Sloan, Mrs. Annie Forney of Hornick, Mrs. Minnie Johnston of Sioux City, and Mrs. Nettie Jensen of Geneva, N.Y.
